LIGHT GRAFFITI @ THE BARBICAN WEEKENDER

Quirky Pictures led a workshop with the Barbican Art Centre during the weekend of 23-24 July celebrating the Extraordinary Voices @ the Barbican Weekender.

Through-out the weekend two-hundred fifty participants animated light graffiti to create this short animated movie inspired by the poem ” the Fish” (Yeats).

The composer, musician and songwriter Hutch Demouilpied kindly allowed us to use one of her wonderful compositions as soundtrack!

The final piece (which was edited on the same day) was shown on a loop at the Barbican centre

Thanks to everyone that attended & created fantastic light graffiti …we reached the staggering number of 250 partecipants… from age 1 years old to 64 years old

Exploring the use of the voice through music, film, song, art and performance, Barbican Weekender: Extraordinary Voices brings the centre alive with a weekend of events from artists & performers, choirs, poets, beatboxers, storytellers and interactive installations.
