Film-director Hanna Heilborn, Story AB (www.story.se), initiated and
commissioned a five days animation workshop for children and teenager from the
Roma and Sinti community in Garbagnate, Milan. The workshop was a co-operation
with Dijana Pavlovic, association Upre Roma (www.upreroma.eu), and partly
funded by the Swedish Film Institute (SFI) and Konstnärsnämnden (the Swedish Arts Grants Committee).
It all took place at Istituto Compressive “Futura” in close collaboration with teachers and head-masters. During the five days animator Kim Noce lead a group of 5-20 children exploring Cut Out animation, Zoetrope, 2D and hand drawn animation, including sound effects. It all culminated with a screening at the near by Oratorio Santa Maria Rossa.
All the photos have been taken by the participants.
