Wallace and Gromit’s World of Invention Roadshow

A member of Quirky Pictures is partecipating in a wonderful production Wallace and Gromit’s World of Invention Roadshow, traveling in the exciting new tour to accompany the series. The tour will be visiting 6 UK shopping centres throughout November and December 2010 and will be open to the public on the weekend giving families the opportunity to learn more about the wacky and wonderful world of inventing whilst participating in a fun and innovative event. These free events are open to all and no tickets are required.

Aardman Animations and the BBC have produced a 6 part series, due to broadcast on BBC1 wednesdays at 7.30.  The series, entitled Wallace and Gromit’s World of Invention, sees the well-loved pair hosting their own live action series from the basement of their house, where they have built their very own television studio.

Every weekend the shopping centre will be transformed into a life size replica of Wallace’s inventing studio. With the help of experienced facilitators, adults and children will find out how to build their own version of Wallace’s ‘Run-About Steam Chair’ while learn about pulley systems, circuits and off centre mass wheels in the process. Everyone can also design their own creations by getting hands-on at the clay-making station.

And most important there is an AMAZING COMPETITION  to win a cracking prize: your chance to have yourself or your contraption re-created into clay and appear in a future production from the creators of Wallace & Gromit. See how to participate here
